Axminster Carpets expertise in the contract carpet market is once again highlighted in the challenging installation at Newbury Race Course.
Axminster, in conjunction with leading carpet fitter Linney Cooper, had to overcome design and installation challenges to ensure a successful outcome to this fast track project.
Specified by leading interior design company Systems by Design, 800 square metres of bespoke broadloom 8x8 Axminster carpet was used to create a welcoming and luxury feel to the Kingsclere Suite at Newbury Racecourse.
The woven carpet was made with a 80% wool / 20% nylon blend which gave the flexibility to create a bespoke design and offered the hard wearing qualities demanded while providing great value.
The entire project was based on a fast track programme to be started and finished between race meetings.
In all projects of this nature, multi trades operated on site at one time, creating difficult installation conditions, and due to small construction problems, the carpet had to be laid in just five days rather than the planned two weeks.
Axminster and Linney Cooper completed the project just hours before the start of the prestigious Hennessey Gold Cup.
