Three different carpet textures and styles by Cavalier Carpets are installed in the Wild Pheasant Hotel in Llangollen, Wales creating an atmosphere of comfort and luxury.
Cavalier Carpets were chosen because of the diversity and variety of contract carpets the company offers to professional specifiers.
Specified by Michelle Parker-Mitchell of Jamm Architects & Interior Designers, the Wild Pheasant Hotel uses three quality ranges across its public areas.
Designed in conjunction with Jason Bond, Cavaliers in-house designer, over 200 square metres of bespoke Axminster carpet on 80% wool and 20% nylon were installed in the hotel corridors and specified for its extremely hard wearing qualities, ideally suited for heavy traffic areas.
For added comfort, 400 square metres of custom made Full Repeat Scroll patterned tufted loop pile carpet, in 80% wool and 20% nylon, were used for the four star bedrooms to create a quality, natural, textured effect.
A further 160 square metres of Double Decade Maxitex carpet is now installed in the five star luxury penthouse suites. This traditional Wilton with an exclusive double density pile for the highest level of performance is made with 80% New Zealand Wool and 20% Nylon and was chosen my Michelle for its premium feel and quality.
Michelle Parker-Mitchell commented:
"We wanted to create a different ambience for each area in the project at The Wild Pheasant. Cavalier Carpets extensive range of contract carpet ranges gave us the options and designs we were looking for.
"By choosing different carpets for each location, we were able to maximize the inherent strengths of each construction. Hard wearing Axminster was chosen for the heavy traffic corridor areas, while quality Tufted and Wilton ranges were chosen for the bedrooms as they offered both the performance and comfort requirements we were after."
